Pitt Community College Culture & Civil Rights Program May 12-20 2018

22nd May 2018

Sunny weather and smiling faces visited the Institute of Study Abroad Ireland this week, aka our great friend Katherine Clyde and her students from Pitt Community College. It was a short but very sweet week, including an interdisciplinary history and culture overview of Ireland and the US, and addressing themes of social justice and civil rights. But we had to include a few very special extras for some very special people! A visit to the Star Wars film location was added to our trip to Doagh Famine Village for movie fans Bethany and Allison – a horse ride along the dunes was a special adventure for Kamari, Makayah and Alexis were ‘totally stoked’ by the surfing, and everyone enjoyed a visit to the Killybegs Seafood shack on our way back from the Sliabh Liag Cliffs.
