Faculty-led discussions

Our seminars will discuss best practices for faculty-led programs. We focus on how providers and sending schools can work together to provide programs that are accessible to a wide range of students, and that deliver structured and focused academic learning outcomes compatible with the ethos and goals of the college courses. We will also discuss virtual internationalization by using online teaching, and how this can be used as a stand-alone method, or blended with planned study trips.

Modern Approaches to Internationalization

Topics will include timelines for programming, ensuring academic excellence, effective methods of collaboration between study abroad advisors and faculty leaders, models for new initiatives and collaborative/consortia projects, online content and virtual programs, program promotion to students, and a successful integration of study abroad goals with the overall goals of the sending institutions.

Experience Study Abroad first-hand

There is no better way to understand the impact of study abroad than to experience it yourself. Each day of the program we will visit  locations from our flagship study trips, and give you a taste of the experience students can have on an international trip. You will stay where the students stay, do some of the classes and field trips they do, and be fully knowledgeable when you return about how a structured, collaborative partnership will work for your colleagues and your students.
