Programs accommodate beginner and advanced photographers

Each year, we welcome photographers at all levels to join us for a week in Ireland. A range of people join us for this trip – some as a professional development opportunity, some as creatives looking for guidance and inspiration, and some who just want to take beautiful photographs. However, we do especially encourage faculty, and interested students, – we also provide discounts for faculty and students should they wish to join in.

The program has two sections- the first is a 5-hour course of classes on the history and culture of Ireland, with the lectures relevant to the locations we shoot. I with Dr. Niamh Hamill as lead professor on this section. The second section, which is 3 more class hours, and 20 hours of shoots, deals with photography, and our guest instructors are Professor Clint Saunders and Photography Artist Todd Vorenkamp.

If you have considered a study abroad component to your programs, this is an excellent experience. It is also open to non-students, and to artists and photographers with an interest in Ireland, and a desire to improve their landscape and seascape photography.
