MAGNIFICENT IRELAND by Ethan Paguirigan. Student reflections
Posted on 21st September 2018
Ethan Paguirigan came to the Institute of Study Abroad Ireland with Hawaii Community College, Hilo. Please do click on this link to see Ethan’s wonderful visual presentation about his trip to Ireland. It’s awesome!
From start to finish, every element of this trip was thoughtfully executed, ensuring that we returned home with a clear understanding of Ireland’s cultural, political, and historical significance and our interconnections. We look forward to bringing future groups of students here to expand their global competence.

I am generally an anxious and hesitant person but I think part of what this trip was taught me is to just seize the moment and appreciate everything that I have to live for right now, and in the future. The lectures and workshops really gave an insight into the history of Ireland, and the field trips take you directly to that history to experience it first hand. There are so many things we have in common when we think about it. The scenery here is beautiful, the food is delicious and the people are so friendly. ISAI is a very worthwhile way to visit Ireland. I had so much fun and learnt so much about myself, my country and being in the world.
