For faculty and administrators at Lone Star College, Texas

The Institute of Study Abroad Ireland and Lone Star College present a bespoke professional development program for faculty and administrators. This program will be an immersive, fully guided visit to Ireland delivering the following outcomes.

  • Learning best practices for internationalizing your curriculum, through the use
    of online content, international partnerships, and faculty-led travel programs for students
  • Developing and fostering faculty and institutional enthusiasm for internationalizing
  • Logistics and supports for both online courses and study travel
  • Creating collaborative partnerships with other institutions   
  • Addressing the challenges of post-covid travel and cultural competency.

This program will be a combination of workshops, field trips and seminars, in Dublin City, and at our campus in County Donegal. We will include a site visit to the newly opened Atlantic Technological University at Letterkenny, introductions to your Consular Services and the Irish Business Network in Texas.

This symposium is for faculty and administrators in higher education.

Registration fee – $800

Initial Deposit – $200

Accommodation fee per person –

Single private accommodation $800 per person total charge

Shared twin accommodation $400 per person total charge

Registration fee includes transfers by private coach to and from Donegal Campus, site visits, presentations, and guided tours, all breakfasts, meals marked *, admission charges.  Registration fee does not include accommodation, but we recommend we book your accommodation for you.

Fees do not include airfare to Ireland or transfers from Airport to Hotel.

You are welcome to bring a spouse, partner or friend. There are plenty of activities to engage the non-higher ed professional, including golf, horseback riding, surfing, museums, galleries etc. The site visits will be of interest to everyone. The fees for a partner, spouse or friend are the same. This visit is not suitable for children.
