Happy Halloween/Samhain

28th October 2017

Greetings from us all on this weekend of Halloween celebrations. Did you know that Ireland has been celebrating Halloween for over 1000 years? The Celts called the festival ‘Samhain’, marking the  division of the year between the summer and winter . At Samhain, this  division allowed spirits to pass through from the otherworld.

We’ll all be dressing up in our costumes, and enjoying some celebrations here in Bundoran. We thought we’d share one of our favourite photos from today – little Ruby dressed up as our recent visitor, Hurricane Ophelia… we think she looks awesome! Enjoy!
