PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT SYMPOSIUM

APRIL 2023 

INTERNATIONALIZING THE CLASSROOM 

We welcomed faculty from East L.A. College, Fullerton College, Hillsborough College, N.W.T.C, Gateway Technical College and guest professional Suzanne La Venture from Davidson-Davie Community College. 

We had a very successful program over five days, in Dublin and Donegal, and our site visits included the Epic Museum of Emigration, the Hill of Tara, Donegal Castle, Sliabh Liag Cliffs, Derry City and Yeats Country. A lot of work was done planning and strategizing for integrating online programs with study abroad opportunities for the students in these colleges, and a lot of networking and contact building between our visitors as well. Many thanks, but particularly to Atlantic Technical University in Letterkenny, who gave a warm welcome to our faculty guests. Next faculty professional development program will be in September 2023.
