Criminal Minds! Pitt & Bristol CC Criminal Justice Program

Institute of Study Abroad Program on Criminal Justice with Pitt Community College, Bristol Community College & LYIT Donegal

We were very pleased to host Pitt Community College and Bristol Community College for our study abroad program on Ireland and Criminal Justice. The wonderful Dawn Vaughan from Pitt CC joined forces with ISAI and Law lecturer Marianne Dee from Letterkenny Institute of Technology to design a program suitable for students of criminal justice. Happily, we were joined by lecturer Dana Mayhew from  Bristol CC, who added a second group of students.

Highlights of this program included a great tour to Kilmainham Jail, conducted by the great Dave McHugh, and a visit to the Central Criminal Courts in Dublin. We also spent eight days in Donegal (of course!) and visited Sligo, Leitrim, Derry, and the amazing sea-cliffs of Sliabh Liag.

We are very grateful to Senior Council Mr. Damian Colgan, and to Letterkenny Institute of Technology, and Law lecturer Marianne Dee for their excellent lectures on the Irish and Northern Irish Legal Systems.
