Professor Hamill has an uncanny ability to incorporate her wealth of experience & knowledge into an experience that is enveloping and creates moments that are lasting and makes you think about what you have learned and connect with the experiences of those who have lived through. The field trips were so amazing that the time flew by. Slieve Liag cliffs were breath taking. The work house in Ballyshannon evoked powerful emotions as did our trip to Derry. If anyone has an opportunity to take part in the study abroad program , DO IT! Find a way! It will change who you are and your life will change for it. Programs like this, which are becoming available to those not generally exposed need to grow and become more accessible and the only way that happens is to get more on board.

Excellent! Niamh Hamill is dynamic, clear and passionate about the subjects & teaching. Lectures always well prepared & impactful. Along with Niamh, John contributed greatly with his knowledge and in answering questions. All the field trips were educational, inspiring and fun! My favourite was Slieve Liag-bracing winds, hail & Sunshine! The Whole Show! I feel like I can speak with knowledge about Irish history and culture through hands on experience. The lectures were detailed & inspiring and were always reinforced through the field trips.
