Spring Professional Development Program and Site Visit

Create a sustainable structure for cultural competency and study travel

(Program Begins April. 16 –  Depart from USA April 15, Return no earlier than April 21)
The Institute of Study Abroad Ireland has successfully developed long-term partnerships with many U.S. Higher Education Colleges and Universities, and we have also introduced our partners to college-college/university options for Ireland. We invite senior leaders’ senior leaders (Deans, VPs, Department Chairs) in  to join us for a short professional development program which will include the following:

Best practices for internationalizing your curriculum, through the use of online content, and faculty-led travel programs

Growing faculty and institutional enthusiasm for internationalizing

Logistics and supports for both online courses and study travel

Creating collaborative partnerships with other institutions

Addressing the challenges of post-covid travel and cultural competency.

This program will be a combination of workshops, field trips and seminars, in Dublin City, and at our campus in County Donegal.

 

PROGRAM WILL BEGIN APRIL 16 & ENDS APRIL 20 –
Depart USA APRIL 15, and return APRIL 21.

This program is for faculty, senior leaders and administrators in higher education.

Earlybird Cost – $995 per person, double occupancy*, booked after Feb. 1, 2026. ($1400 if booked after Feb. 1 2026)

Single room supplement:
$300 (Dublin only) | $550 (Dublin & Private non-shared apartment on campus)

Fees includes transfers by private coach to and from Donegal Campus, site visits, presentations, and guided tours, all breakfasts, meals marked *, admission charges.  Fees include accommodation from check-in April 16 to departure April 21. Accommodation is based on 2 person sharing twin/ double room in Dublin, and a 2-bedroom apartment on campus. See above for single supplements. 

Fees do not include airfare to Ireland or transfers from Airport to Hotel.  Taxi costs approx $40, Aircoach costs approx $10. 

You are welcome to bring a spouse, partner or friend. There are plenty of activities to engage the non-higher ed professional, including golf, horseback riding, surfing, museums, galleries etc. The site visits will be of interest to everyone. The fees for a partner, spouse or friend are the same. This visit is not suitable for children.

Airfare is not included in the price of the program. When booking your travel, depart USA on April 15th, and return no earlier than April. 21st. We recommend www.aerlingus.com for flights from the USA.
