Learn one of the oldest languages in the world

  • Practice and learn in an Irish-language friendly environment, from qualified Irish language teachers

  • Classes on Irish Culture & history including the folklore and tradition, mythology and customs of food and drink

     

  • Guided site visits to beautiful cultural sites including Donegal Castle, Arranmore Lighthouse,  Leo’s Tavern & Crolly Distillery

     

  • Experience Gaeltacht culture, traditional Irish music and food, mythology and folklore

     

  • Friendly immersive sessions with locals, all levels are welcome but most suitable for beginners.

  • Programming starts November 2nd , and finishes on November. 8th (Depart U.S. on Nov. 1, Return Nov. 9)

An immersive program developed by Irish language educators to give people of all levels an exciting Irish experience. Speak ‘as Gaelige’ (in irish) with locals in a relaxed setting, as we travel to the Irish-speaking Gaeltacht area in the North west of Ireland, and bring the Gaeltacht back to our campus
in a learning-friendly environment.

A perfect opportunity for anyone to experience a different culture, and learn about the history of Ireland’s native language. The 7-day experience includes a wide range of experiences including site visits, classes, traditional music nights and more.

Developed by Dr. Niamh Hamill and Daire MacPhaidin, Irish language educators who have worked with students of all ages for over 20 years. The curriculum has been created to both introduce new speakers to the language, while helping those with more advanced Irish to progress.
