Classes on Irish Culture & history including the folklore and tradition, mythology and customs of food and drink
- Visit to Irish Distilleries for Whiskey tasting, Irish craft breweries, Farmer’s Markets & Organic Food Centers, bakeries and dairies
Sample the delicious Irish seafood culture along the Wild Atlantic Way – including lunch on one of our off-shore Gaelic-speaking islands
Includes a ticket to the new Wild Shores Food Festival’ across beautiful locations on the Donegal Coasr
Every day – eat at the best of Irish food venues including top restaurants, street food, gastropubs, delis and traditional pubs. Enjoy the best of Irish music and culture as we go.
This program was curated in 2023 with Francine Marz, Ed.D., CEC, WCEC, Dean of Culinary & Hospitality at the Culinary Institute of the South, and in association with the Institute of Study Abroad Ireland, & the Flavours of Donegal Food Festival. The program will conclude with participation in the Wild Shores Food Festival
A perfect opportunity for Faculty or Students to experience a different gastronomic culture, and learn about the history of Ireland’s food and beverage industry. The 10-day experience includes a wide range of experiences including workshops, tours, visits to distilleries, restaurants, a range of food providers from farm producers to seafood to the service industries.
Join fellow culinary educators or attend with your culinary students as we travel across the country from Dublin to the North West of Ireland. Visit the capital and its burgeoning food industry; before travelling through rural Ireland and learning about the importance of the Irish Agriculture sector.
